Using Passive Environmental Energies. (Part 2º)

The energy balance of the building:

The importance of thermodynamics between building and environment.

Bearing in mind that each person has their own comfort level and win every house or assign hot / cold of their environment. We define minimal concepts to understand this energy balance that occurs between the house and its location. And the variation of the same during the seasons and changes in hours of sunshine, wind patterns and temperatures, etc...
The concept of cold can be understood as a phenomenon or physical condition indicates that a body has a temperature below the ambient temperature where it is, and generates feeling of "cold" when in contact with them.
Rather the concept of heat can be understood as a phenomenon or physical state, indicating that the body is higher than in the environment where the temperature and generating feeling of "heat" in contact with them.
It is a relative concept, since it relates the amount of heat content at a low temperature and the appreciation of it is variable for each individual and the environment in which we live.
The cooling is the production of cold or low temperatures, example; in interiors of buildings, and is a process of elimination or compensation of heat, in this case, a space reducing room temperature, and after that is less than that of its surroundings. Radiation, convection, evaporation, and driving are mechanisms to draw heat spontaneously reducing temperature.

radiation convection evaporation

Solar radiation is the main source of energy that affects the energy balance of buildings, in addition to the wind, so it is necessary to analyse the energy flows that occur through each and every one of the elements of the building involved. Thermodynamics shows that heat is transferred from the hot to the cold spots.
In winter, the building should act as the heat sink naturally, to receive heat about their -Focus hot- environment. Seek the highest radiation dircata housing.

natural energy balance techniques

In summer the building is looking for the hot source to the cold subsides heat you have left to achieve comfort.

Solar radiation can be counterproductive, and the effects of the hot spot should eliminate, reduce, etc. at this time of year, except when they are beneficial. The night sky, the atmosphere and the soil, are cold spots, which act as heat sinks, reducing the temperature of the environment and acting as natural mechanisms.
